    1. Term:  Citizen
  2. Post the OEDOnline definition of the term and write a paragraph on the evolution of this term. Due 1/27/16. GROUP 4 Citizen
    1. Citizen definition -a legally recognized subject or national of a state or commonwealth, either native or naturalized.
  3. Find a media clip that uses one definition of this term in a meaningful way. Due 1/29/16.

    1. The history of the word Citizenship is a unique term because of the change in its definition. The term Citizenship use to be based on the way people lived in ancient Greece. The responsibilities and duties of citizenship were connected with everyday life in the polis. As we all know today, Citizenship is the status of a person recognized under the law as being a member of a country. Americans now try to replicate forms of government. But the term Citizenship  have multiple unique versions that are going to be explained.

Great start on the thesis. I like that you start with Ancient Greece. How does that relate to the American concept (is it because American tries to replicate Classical forms of government: the democracy and the republic?)? What is your ARGUMENT about the way this term has changed? Has it become more inclusive? Less inclusive...?
